I suppose I should have read the directions :) Right now, I sharpen the pencils about 2 times a week. My kiddos take pencils from their table caddy when they need one. My good ole electric sharpener has seen better days.

I haven't found a good way to manage pencils so I will be reading your posts to see if someone has found a good way!
ReplyDeletePencil sharpening is a huge problem in my classroom. We are on our third set of X-Acto pencil sharpeners because they are always breaking. We really need the quietest pencil sharpener!

I've been wanting to win one of these sharpeners! I have heard amazing things about it!
ReplyDeleteI have a sharp bucket and a dull bucket. I sharpen all the dulls in the afternoon. Kids can't sharpen during the day and they have to leave a pencil to take a pencil. So excited for the giveaway! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI also have a sharp and a dull bucket. We had an electric sharpener, but it broke. Now I have to take the pencils to the teacher's lounge to sharpen them after school. Not so convenient! Thanks for the giveaway!

I am a middle school teacher so my kiddos pretty much bring their own, but sharpening can still be an issue. I finally found a great electric sharpener that has worked well for two whole years. Sorry I cant recall the name of it, but found it at Office Depot for about $40. I taped a sign on it that says, "absolutely no map pencils". If they borrow a pencil from me, they have to leave their shoe near my desk. Amazing how fast a 6th grader can find a pencil! Super giveaway! I think I am entered? Still new and trying to figure out this blogging world :)
